Technical Assistance through Start and Improve Your Business Program continues in BaSulTa Region 

The second cohort of European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and International Labour Organization (ILO) co-organized Training of Trainers (ToT) on Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) concluded last December 4-7, 2023 in Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City.

The cohort was attended by representatives from the business sector, government agencies, and civil service organizations from BaSulTa region that can provide technical assistance for small businesses in their respective regions on business operation areas such as digital marketing, record keeping and financial management. The group were given tools and applications that can be utilized in improving business systems. Furthermore, feedback sharing was practiced all throughout the workshop that engaged participants in sharing best practices and challenges which were recognized and addressed by the facilitators. The sessions were facilitated by ILO National Master Trainer Mr. Roberto Rodelas and Training Assistant Ms. Maybelle Frianeza.

To cap off the four-day training, participants were grouped according to their province and presented their action plans in implementing the next step which is to roll out training sessions for selected entrepreneurs in their respective areas. Each group was able to share their timeline and has expressed their intent to conduct their plans starting January 2024.

ECCP, on the other hand, through the EU funded project BAEP Crescent, showed support for this training activity that aligns to the objective in facilitating development and competitiveness in enterprises in the BARMM Agribusiness sector.
