Project Overview

The BAEP CRESCENT Project is funded by the EU under BAEP and implemented by ECCP. It is a 4-year project that started on Nov. 8, 2022, and will end on Nov. 7, 2026. Its three (3) main objectives are: (i) to design and implement a private sector-led agribusiness development and promotion strategy; (ii) to increase the pool of BARMM agribusiness MSMEs that are ready for investment and export promotion; and (iii) to grow investments and exports in the BARMM agribusiness sector.

Overall objective

The project aims to contribute to a peaceful, cohesive, secure, and inclusively developed Bangsamoro by promoting rural and value chain development towards increasing agriculture and rural enterprise.

Specific objective

Elaborate and facilitate the agri-business development and promotion strategy through the creation and engagement of responsible, sustainable, and competitive BARMM agribusiness enterprises that can effectively engage in investment and export promotion activities.

Project Management

The BAEP CRESCENT project is implemented by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP). The ECCP is a bilateral foreign Chamber that promotes European interests to the Philippines and vice versa.

The Bangsamoro Agri-Enterprise Program (BAEP) Creating REsponsible Sustainable Competitive ENTerprises in the BARMM Agribusiness Sector (CRESCENT) is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP).

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a bilateral foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines and vice versa. As a membership organization with close to 800 members among its ranks and a strong partnership with the government, the ECCP offers a strong business network that holds great potential in translating to tangible business opportunities. The Chamber strives to make its members’ viewpoints heard on economic and business issues, legislative measures, and administrative regulations.

The ECCP organizes business meetings; seminars with resource speakers from the Philippines, Asia, and Europe, which coordinate the position of the business sector; as well as dialogues with the Philippine government officials on important economic issues affecting the Philippine-European business relations. Moreover, the ECCP enjoys the cooperation of the leading Philippine and European trade and business organizations and maintains close links to the commercial sections of the European embassies and the Delegation of the European Commission in the Philippines.
